scarletts_awry and I spent most of the day inside due to the weather, but by 5 the roads had cleared enough that we were able to go out for an early dinner at the sushi restaurant we like. We had an edamame appetizer and hot green tea, and then I had tekkadon for my main course -- tuna sashimi over sushi rice -- and it was to-die-for fresh. I love living in a world where good sushi is readily available.

In a little while we're going to have a beer and watch The Shawshank Redemption, which is one of my favorite movies and which

scarletts_awry has never seen. I'm really glad that we're going to be watching it together for her first viewing.

We killed Maxwell for the first time in Scribblenauts today. (I include this as a positive thought because it was, honestly, really fucking funny.) Oh, and we got a cat off a roof by throwing a cheeseburger at it, causing it to fall off the roof and land on a mattress. Said mattress made the cat go boing-boing-bounce until Maxwell grabbed it and returned it to its owner. STARITE GET.

Heeee. I confess, we were very proud of ourselves for the whole cat/cheeseburger problem-solving. You can also summon various LOLcat memes in the game, including Basement Cat, Ceiling Cat, and Longcat. Longcat can kill just about anything if he's sufficiently provoked.

Fresh sushi is one of my favorite things on earth. Oh, and they have the best green tea at that restaurant, too. It was all really perfect on a snowy evening.

The movie turned out very well! I cried buckets like I always do, and

scarletts_awry really liked it. Then we went and read the TV Tropes entry, and were pleased to see that Andy is correctly categorized as both the Chessmaster and the Magnificent Bastard.

I bought Scribblenauts for my nephew for Christmas, though to be honest I think my brother has commandeered it! It's freaking awesome, isn't it?!

LOL at the cat thing.

I saw Shawshank for the first time on Friday night. I'd started watching Green Street 2 which was fucking atrocious and I gave up on after only half an hour, and was looking through the movies on my Sky Box, and saw that, and watched it. Now, THAT is a good prison movie.

Mmmm, fresh sushi....*does the Homer Simpson Drool* Not a fan of green tea, but that's probably because I'm English and used to good, strong, Yorshire Tea. I do like fruity tea from time to time though.

Shawshank is a really fantastic prison movie. One of my favorites, like I mentioned, and it was a lot of fun to watch it with

scarletts_awry when she was seeing it for the first time.

Oh, fresh sushi is one of my favorite things in the world. And I love all kinds of teas, too -- good strong English tea as well as green tea and a bunch of other kinds. I need my coffee to wake up, but tea is one of my big comfort foods/drinks.

It is *incredibly* freaking awesome. Seriously the best game ever. At one point, we needed to get rid of a shark, so we summoned Cthulhu to eat it.
